SUMMARY OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING ACTIVITIES





INTRODUCTION...


Summary of activities is the current industry practice of trainers to conduct training and study. Where they also will describe the nature of employees, teamwork, communication between workers relationship with administration officials and so on.In the full report, the author has also registered a daily diary tasks in a log book of daily reports provided by the Polytechnic Balik Pulau.


Log book daily report is provided to facilitate the firm which students record all tasks and assignments given by the Gleneagles Penang.Through log book writer can summarize trip diary tasks and assignments into full report industrial training to be evaluated by a lecturer at the Polytechnic Balik Pulau .





SUMMARY OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING ACTIVITIES



23rd  JUNE – 28th JUNE 2014 (Week 1)


-           i)  Self report in HR Department & IT Department as a trainee; introduce to IT Department     staffs .
-        ii)  Get know the Vision and Mission of Gleneagles Penang.
-        iii)  Setup projector and laptop.
-        iv)  Downgrade pcs from window 7 64bits to window 7 32 bits.
-         v)  Update pc; check computer setups and install software.
-        vi)  Check network connection (IP Address) and printer error.


F   30th JUNE - 5th JULY 2014 (Week 2)
       
         i)  Check network connection.
-          ii)  Set up laptop and projector.
-         iii)  Set up new pc and new network cable.
-         iv)  Scan invoice papers.
-          v)  Check barcode printer that can print or not and change cartridge.
-         vi)  Check network port that can connect with network or not.

     
      7thJULY – 12thJULY 2014 (Week 3)

        i)  Set up pc and check network connection.
-        ii)  Change new IP Address for Matron pc.
-       iii)  Update pc.
-        iv)   Set up projector and laptop.
-         v)   Backup files and format pc.
-        vi)   Install software.


14th JULY – 19th JULY 2014 (Week 4) 

   i)   Check network connection, gateway and network switch.
-        ii)   Scan invoice papers.
-       iii)   Set up projector, laptop and microphone for consultant meeting.
-       iv)  Set up pc and check network connection.
-        v)  Try to downgrade window 8 to window 7.
-       vi)   Change cartridge in outpatient pharmacy.
-      vii)   Set up new photo scanner and share it to network printer.
viii) Plug in power plug with monitor to check can use or not.


21st JULY – 26th JULY 2014 (Week 5)

  
    i)  Fix power plug and DVD cable with new monitor.
-         ii)  Transfer pc from old scope room to new renovated scope room.
-        iii) Check projector that display like blinked.
-        iv)  Troubleshoot printers.
-         v)  Set up pc and printers in casualty sister room.
-         vi) Scan invoice papers.
   
       
      28th JULY – 2nd AUG 2014 (Week 6)

        i) Check network connection that suddenly disconnected.
-       ii) Scan new staff registration form and invoice papers.
-      iii)  Fill in OT operation list in king soft excel.
-      iv)  Downgrade pc.
-       v)  Exchange pc and printer; connect it to share printing and test print.


       4th AUG – 9th AUG 2014 ( Week 7)

          i)  Pc listing.
-        ii) Set up laptop, projector and microphone.
-       iii)  Format pc.
-       iv)  Set new printer; set as default printer and test print.

      
       11th AUG – 16th AUG 2014 (Week 8)

      i)   Setup projector and laptop.
-     ii)  Check and restore new monitor and cpu.
-    iii)   Format and update pc.
-    iv)   Set up pc.
-     v)   Format pc using Acer e-recovery management for acer cpu.
-    vi)   Continue with pc listing.
-   vii)   Scan invoice papers.
-   viii)  Check and restore cartridges
     x)  Check network connection. 

    
     18th AUG – 23rd AUG 2014 (Week 9)

       i)   Pc listing.
-      ii)   Set up laptop and projector.
-     iii)    Set up pc and new printer; remove old printer.
-     iv)   Format pc.
-      v)   Set up photo scanner.
-     vi)  Complete schedule for Matron Lim.


        25th AUG – 30th AUG 2014 (Week 10)   
    
          i)  Check pc (problem with loading files).
-        ii)   Set up pc.
-       iii)  Key in computer peripherals using king soft excels.
-       iv) Scan admission form and send it to share folder; invoice papers.
-        v)  Change malfunctioned network switch.
-       vi)  Check computer setups.
-      vii)  Stored cartridges.
-     viii)  Set up projector and laptop.
-        x)  Downgrade pc.  

  
       1st SEPT – 6th SEPT 2014 (Week 11)

i         i)  Key in OT staffs name in king soft writer.
-          ii)  Set up laptop and mini speaker.
-         iii) Check barcode printer error.
-         iv)  Exchange printer, set current printer to default.
-          v)  Change documents format (from open office to king soft).
-          vi)  Try to draw HOT Centre’s floor plan. 


         8th SEPT – 13th SEPT 2014 (Week 12)     

                                                        
-           i)  Check network face plate and network connection.
-      ii)   Set up laptop, projector and speaker.
-     iii)   Replace old cpu to new one.
-     iv)   Restore cartridges.
-      v)   Scan invoice papers.
-     vi)    Set up printer and check network connection.
-     vii)   Dismantle hard drivers and 1/2GB ram from old dell cpu.
-     viii)   Take list of condemned items and key in the list in king soft excel (spreadsheets)              format.


       15th SEPT – 20th SEPT 2014 (Week 13)


-          i)  Check digital display board.
-      ii)  Restore cartridges.
-     iii)  Set up projector, laptop and speaker.
-     iv) Check printer that cannot print out.
-      v)  Downgrade pc.
-     vi)  Scan invoice papers.
-    vii)  Set up new pc and barcode printer.
-   viii)  Set up printer.



22nd SEPT – 27th SEPT 2014 (Week 14)


-         i)  Set up laptop and projector.
-      ii)  Scan item condemn form and hispathology report.
-     iii)   Print some pictures and colour copy of emergency flow chart.
-     iv)   Retrieve ribbons.
-      v)  Set up new pc and printer.
-     vi)  Restore cartridges.
-    vii)  Update pc.



29th SEPT – 4th OCT 2014 (Week 15)


-         i)  Scan invoice papers.
-      ii)  Check monitor power cable and VGA cable that didn’t display screen.
-     iii)  Exchange printer and set it as default printer.
-     iv)  Set up laptop and projector.
-      v)  Check barcode printer.
-      vi)   Key in user ID and IP Address in SOPHOS system.
-     vii)  Downgrade pc.
-    viii)  Update pc.
-       x) Edit user maintenance in DMS Panton 8.5.



      6th OCT – 11th OCT 2014 (Week 16)


-          i)  Scan Pharmacy- Drug code maintenance form and windows xp printer test page.
-      ii)   Set up laptop and projector.
-     iii)  Dismantle and reset pc.
-     iv) Restore cartridges.
-      v) Set up new pc and printer.
-     vi) Update pc and install software’s.
-    vii) Retrieve and check visit label.
-   viii) Restore visit label.



13th OCT -18th OCT 2014 (Week 17)


-         i)  Set up new pc.
-      ii)  Set up laptop, projector and microphone.
-     iii)  Restore cartridges.
-     iv)   List down new pc names.
-      v)   Check printers.
-     vi)   Scan forms and invoice papers.
-    vii)   Key in data in BLESS system for renew license for Mr. Chan



20th OCT – 25th OCT 2014 (Week 18)


-           i)  Scan purchase order form and invoice papers.
-      ii)  Change cpu.
-     iii)  Examine new arrival barcode scanner.
-     iv)  Retrieve and restore cartridges.
-      v)  Set up laptop, projector and speaker.
-     vi)  Dismantle pc and printer.



27th OCT – 1st NOV 2014 (Week 19)


-           i)  Scan cek and invoice papers.
-        ii)  Set up laptop, projector and speaker.
-       iii)   Check keyboard that all keypad can use or not.
-       iv)  Restore cartridges.
-        v)  Retrieve cartridges.
-       vi)   Check barcode printer that cannot print out the label.
-       vii)   Participate in Malaysian Arthoroscopy Societies Annual Meeting.


      3rd NOV – 7th NOV 2014 (Week 20)


-          i) Set up pc.
-      ii)  Check printer that cannot print out.
-     iii)  Set up laptop, projector, mouse, keyboard and speaker.
-     iv)  Scan invoice papers.
-      v) Distribute barcode scanner.
-     vi)   Retrieve and restore cartridges.
-    vii)  Configure the barcode scanner before distribute it.
